- FLAG INFO- The William Baldwin-designed Episcopal flag has served as the Episcopal Church’s official emblem since 1940. The hues stand for fidelity (blue), martyrs’ blood (red), and purity (white). The flag is divided into four halves by a crimson St. George’s cross in the middle. The St. Andrew’s cross is formed by the nine crosslets in the blue area of the flag’s upper left corner.
