Veterans Day Flags

Veterans Day is observed every year on November 11. It honors all men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Space Force – in peacetime and in war.

Veterans Day (November 11) thanks everyone who has served in the military, living or deceased. Memorial Day (last Monday in May) specifically honors service members who died while serving.

Fly the U.S. flag at full staff from sunrise to sunset, or around the clock if it is properly illuminated. When flown with military, retired or POW/MIA flags, the American flag goes at the top of the pole or to its own right (the viewer’s left).

On a single pole, the POW/MIA flag is flown directly below the American flag and should be the same size or smaller. On separate poles, the U.S. flag takes the position of honor.

For outdoor use choose 200D nylon or embroidered 400D nylon flags with a canvas header and brass grommets – they dry quickly and resist fading. Polyester flags are a budget-friendly choice for indoor displays, ceremonies and events.

Most military and retired service flags come in 3×5 ft for house poles and flagpoles, plus 12×18 inch garden, car and boat flags and 4×6 inch stick flags for parades. American flags are available from small stick flags up to 20×30 ft.
