Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Ohio Premium Car Flag 10.5 x 15 inch - Double Sided Wrap Knitted Polyester Ohio State Flag - 19 inch White Plastic Unbreakable Pole with Window Clip for Vehicle Display

What is the history and design of the Ohio state flag?

The Ohio state flag is the only non-rectangular US state flag — it is a burgee (swallowtail pennant) shape. The flag features red and white horizontal stripes, a triangular blue field with a white circle (representing the 'O' in Ohio) containing a red disc, and 17 stars representing Ohio as the 17th state. The design was created by John Eisemann and officially adopted in 1902.

What does 'double sided wrap knitted polyester' mean for a car flag?

Double-sided wrap means the flag fabric wraps around itself so the design is printed on both exterior faces. Knitted polyester allows air to pass through, reducing drag and noise.

How does the 19-inch unbreakable pole attach to my car window?

The pole comes with a window clip that slides into the top of the car window frame. Roll the window up snugly against the clip.

Is this flag safe to fly at highway speeds?

Designed for everyday city and suburban driving. Remove before sustained highway speeds above 60 mph.

How does this 10.5x15 option differ from the 12x16 car flag?

The 10.5x15 uses double-sided wrap knitted polyester and a stronger 19-inch unbreakable pole. The 12x16 is single-sided on a lighter 17-inch flex pole.

Will Ohio's swallowtail design appear correctly on both sides of the car flag?

Yes. The double-sided wrap construction ensures the swallowtail design reads correctly on both faces — front and back — unlike single-sided flags where the back appears mirrored.
