12x18 Inch Turkey Courtesy Flag (Marine Nylon)
Display your Turkish heritage on the water or in the garden with the PromoPatriot Turkey Courtesy Boat Flag. Because boats operate in harsh, high-wind environments, this 12x18 inch flag is constructed from premium marine-grade 200 denier heavy-duty nylon. This specialized fabric sheds saltwater instantly and offers superior tensile strength compared to cheap novelty polyester.
Whether used as a nautical courtesy flag on a sailboat mast, a stern flag on a pontoon, or a zip-tied banner on a golf cart, the hardware matters. This flag features a heavy-duty white duck canvas header, two solid anti-rust brass grommets, and double lock-stitched perimeter edges to ensure it survives the elements while keeping the Ay Yıldız (star and crescent) flying proudly.
Please note that this is a small 12x18 inch format (1 foot by 1.5 feet). It is designed specifically for boat halyards, golf carts, and garden flag stands. It is NOT a full-size 3x5 flag for a large house pole!
The flag of Turkey (Türk bayrağı) is affectionately referred to as *Al bayrak* (the red flag) and *Ay Yıldız* (star and crescent). The striking red field and the white star and crescent symbols have deep historical roots dating back to the Ottoman Empire and remain a powerful symbol of Turkish independence, unity, and national pride.
- ✓ Reverse Print Format — A specialized single-layer aniline dye process bleeds the ink entirely through the nylon. The star and crescent will appear reversed (facing the opposite direction) on the back side.
- ✓ Marine-Grade Durability — 200D Nylon is naturally hydrophobic, meaning it sheds water instantly rather than absorbing it and sagging like cheap polyester.
- ✓ Solid Brass Hardware — Crucial for boaters. Anti-rust solid brass grommets prevent ugly orange rust streaks from staining your boat or the canvas header.

Why Choose Us
The Marine Grade Difference
When flying a flag on a fast-moving boat or golf cart, the fabric weave makes all the difference. Cheap printed polyester novelty flags absorb water and shred rapidly when whipped by wind. Our premium boat flag upgrades to 200D marine-grade nylon with a reinforced canvas header, ensuring it survives the elements.

Care & Storage
Keep your nylon boat flag pristine season after season
-
Trailering
If you are trailering your boat on the highway, temporarily remove the flag. The turbulent aerodynamics of a truck pulling a boat at 70mph will destroy flags much faster than operating the boat on the water.
-
Gentle Washing
Hand wash occasionally in lukewarm water with mild detergent to rinse away marine salt or golf-course dust to keep the red fabric vibrant.
-
Air Drying
Because 200D nylon is naturally waterproof, morning dew and saltwater will shed easily. Never fold or store a wet flag in a boat locker; hang flat to air dry completely to prevent mildew odor.
-
Clearance Checks
Ensure your boat pole or garden stake has adequate clearance so the 18-inch fly length does not snag against rigging, bimini tops, or rose bushes during high winds.
Proportioned for boat sterns & golf carts
Hydrophobic weave resists salt & wind
Anchored securely into heavy canvas
Ink bleeds through (crescent reversed on back)
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the PromoPatriot Turkey Courtesy Flag (12x18")
Reverse Print means this flag is constructed from a single layer of heavy-duty 200D nylon. We use a high-penetration aniline dye process that forces the red ink completely through the fabric. This ensures the flag is incredibly vibrant and lightweight enough to fly in a gentle breeze. However, it means the Ay Yıldız (star and crescent) will appear "reversed" or facing the opposite direction when viewing the back side of the flag.
No. A 12x18 inch flag (1 foot by 1.5 feet) will look awkwardly small on a standard 20-foot residential ground pole or a 5-foot porch pole. This miniature "courtesy" size is specifically proportioned for boat halyards, golf cart mounts, and small garden flag stakes.
The flag features a reinforced canvas header with two solid brass grommets. You can easily attach it to a marine halyard clip, use stainless steel carabiners, or simply strap it to a golf cart frame using heavy-duty zip-ties.
Marine environments are brutal. Thin printed polyester novelty flags absorb water, sag heavily, and fray rapidly when whipped by wind on open water. Our marine-grade **200D nylon** is naturally hydrophobic (sheds water instantly), offers superior tensile strength, and features UV inhibitors to prevent the vivid red from fading in direct sunlight.
The white star and crescent (*Ay Yıldız*) on a red field has deep historical significance dating back to the Ottoman Empire. The design represents Turkish national unity, independence, and pride, making it a powerful symbol to display on your vessel or property.
