Sized for impact, this 48x72 inch banner is perfect for 20ft+ flagpoles or striking indoor wall displays.

4x6 Ft (48x72") 200D Nylon Reverse Print Brass Grommets Stitched Edges Fade Proof Colors

Display your First State pride with maximum visibility using the PromoPatriot Delaware State Flag — a massive 4x6 ft (48x72 inch) banner built for longevity and stunning visual impact. This isn't a cheap promotional flag; it is crafted from genuine 200 Denier (200D) Nylon. This specific material weight is the gold standard for outdoor flags because it offers enough structural integrity to withstand daily weathering, yet remains light enough to unfurl beautifully in a gentle neighborhood breeze.

Our advanced dye-sublimation process creates a reverse print on the back. This means the iconic colonial buff and blue dye penetrates completely through the heavy nylon fabric. The design reads correctly on the front face, while the reverse side displays a vibrant, sharp mirror image. This single-reverse construction is intentionally designed to reduce the overall weight of the massive 4x6 foot canvas, allowing the flag to fly higher and more frequently than bulky, heavy multi-ply flags that droop on windless days.

Because a 4x6 flag catches significantly more wind than standard sizes, the structural finishing is crucial. This flag features a heavy-duty canvas header equipped with two solid rust-proof brass grommets for secure, tear-free attachment to your flagpole halyard. Furthermore, the top, bottom, and fly edges are reinforced with multiple rows of tight lock-stitching. This drastically reduces the fraying and edge-tearing commonly caused by turbulent winds, ensuring your Delaware flag remains dignified and intact season after season.

200D Nylon vs. Standard 100D Polyester — The Outdoor Advantage

When purchasing a large 4x6 flag, the fabric choice makes all the difference. Many entry-level flags use 100D or 150D woven polyester. While inexpensive, standard polyester is highly susceptible to rapid UV fading and fabric rot in damp environments. 200D Nylon is a tighter, thicker, and inherently water-resistant synthetic weave. It sheds rainwater quickly, preventing the flag from becoming waterlogged and wrapping around the pole. Additionally, nylon holds dye exceptionally well, which is why our Delaware Colonial Blue and Buff colors remain sharp, vivid, and fade-proof long after cheaper flags have washed out in the sun.

Perfect For

Commercial Flagpoles

The 4x6 size is ideal for 20 to 25-foot flagpoles outside Delaware businesses, corporate parks, and auto dealerships.

Residential Yards

Make a statement on your front porch or garden pole. 200D nylon ensures it flies beautifully in residential neighborhoods.

Schools & Gyms

A stunning, sharp-colored wall banner for University of Delaware dorms, high school auditoriums, or local gymnasiums.

Government Offices

Appropriate material quality and historical accuracy for municipal buildings, firehouses, and local township halls.

Installing Your 4x6 Ft Flag — 3 Steps

1

Unpack & Prep

Carefully remove the flag from the packaging. To ensure the sharpest display, use a steamer or an iron on the "Low/Nylon" setting to gently remove any fold creases before flying.

2

Attach the flag to your flagpole halyard using the two brass grommets. Ensure your snap hooks or clips are securely closed through the grommet holes so the flag doesn't pull free.

Secure to Halyard

3

Hoist & Check Clearance

Hoist the flag to the top of the pole. Because this is a large 4x6 flag, ensure there are no nearby tree branches, gutters, or power lines that the flag could snag on when streaming in high winds.

⚠ High Wind Advisory for Large Flags

While our 200D Nylon flag features reinforced stitched edges, flying a 4x6 foot flag in sustained winds exceeding 40 mph or during severe coastal storms (such as Nor'easters off the Delaware coast) will drastically reduce its lifespan. To preserve the sharp, vivid colors and prevent irreversible edge tearing, we highly recommend lowering your flag during severe weather events.

Delaware’s Flag — The First State’s Colonial Colors

Delaware’s state flag is one of the most visually distinctive in the United States. The colonial buff diamond on a colonial blue field represents the uniform colors of the Delaware Regiment during the Revolutionary War—the unit that earned the nickname "The Blue Hen's Chickens." Inside the diamond is the state coat of arms, representing Delaware’s colonial economy. Below the arms is the date December 7, 1787 — the exact day Delaware became the first state to ratify the U.S. Constitution. Our fade-proof dyes ensure this rich history is displayed in its most authentic, vibrant hues.

Why Choose Us

200D Nylon, Brass Grommets, Stitched Edges — A 4x6 Flag Built for the Elements

A cheap 100D polyester flag might look fine out of the box, but after a month in the sun and rain, it turns into a faded, shredded rag. By utilizing 200 Denier Nylon, solid brass hardware, and lock-stitched edges, we address the three most common causes of flag failure: fabric rot, mount tearing, and edge fraying.

Care & Maintenance

Maximizing the lifespan of your 200D Nylon 4x6 Ft flag

  • Severe Weather Takedown

A 4x6 foot flag acts like a massive sail. In wind speeds exceeding 40 mph or during harsh storms, the wind-whip can exert hundreds of pounds of force on the fly hem. Lowering your flag during severe weather is the #1 way to extend its life and prevent edge blowouts.

  • Washing & Cleaning

If your flag accumulates dirt, smog, or salt spray, wash it by hand using a mild detergent and cold water. Never put it in a washing machine or dryer, as the agitation can damage the grommets and shrink the nylon. Air dry completely before hoisting or folding.

  • Proper Storage

Never fold or store a wet or damp flag; it will develop mildew. Once completely dry, fold it neatly (the traditional triangle fold works perfectly) and store it in a dark, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the fabric strength.

  • Monitor the Fly End

The "fly end" (the edge furthest from the flagpole) is always the first to show wear. Check it periodically. If you notice minor fraying beginning, you can carefully trim the frayed thread and re-sew the hem to give the flag a second life before a full blowout occurs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the PromoPatriot Delaware 4x6 Ft Flag

A "reverse print" (often called single-reverse) is the industry standard for high-quality outdoor flying flags. It means the design is printed on the front side of the flag with dyes that penetrate 100% through the fabric. As a result, the front side reads correctly (text and crest are properly oriented), and the back side shows a sharp, vibrant mirror-image of the front. This construction is highly preferred for a massive 4x6 flag because it keeps the flag to a single, lightweight layer of 200D nylon. If a flag this size were truly "double-sided" (two layers sewn together with a block-out liner in between), it would be incredibly heavy, requiring gale-force winds just to lift it, and it would absorb too much water in the rain, putting extreme stress on your flagpole.

A 4x6 foot flag (48 by 72 inches) is quite large and makes a spectacular, dominating display. If you are flying it on a freestanding in-ground flagpole, 4x6 is generally the ideal, proportionate size for poles that are 20 to 25 feet tall. However, if you intend to fly this on a standard 5-foot or 6-foot angled pole mounted to your front porch, a 4x6 flag is usually too large—it may drape to the ground or easily snag on gutters and porch railings when the wind blows. For standard porch mounts, we highly recommend purchasing a 3x5 foot flag instead. 4x6 flags are best suited for commercial displays, tall residential in-ground poles, or large indoor wall hangings.

When you unbox your 200D nylon flag, it will have distinct crease lines from being folded in transit. The safest and easiest way to remove these is with a handheld garment steamer. The gentle steam relaxes the nylon fibers and drops the wrinkles right out. Alternatively, you can use a standard clothing iron, but you must be careful: set it to the lowest heat setting (usually marked "Nylon" or "Synthetics") and iron the flag quickly. Never leave a hot iron resting on the nylon fabric, as it will melt the synthetic fibers instantly.

Flag lifespan depends entirely on exposure. A flag flown 24/7 in harsh weather, direct intense sunlight, and high winds will naturally wear out faster than one flown occasionally or taken down during storms. On average, an outdoor 200D Nylon flag flown daily will last 6 to 9 months before showing noticeable fraying or fading. By bringing the flag indoors during severe weather (winds over 35 mph) and occasionally washing it to remove airborne abrasive particles, many customers stretch the lifespan of their PromoPatriot flag well past a year.

We do not recommend machine washing. The heavy agitation of a washing machine can damage the solid brass grommets, misshape the canvas header, and accelerate wear on the stitched edges. If your flag becomes dirty from outdoor smog or pollen, simply hand wash it in a large sink or tub using cool water and a mild, bleach-free detergent. Rinse it thoroughly and hang it up to air dry completely. Never put a nylon flag in a tumble dryer.

You can return the flag within 30 days in original, unused condition for a full refund—a prepaid return label will be provided. If the flag suffers from a manufacturing defect (such as an improperly set grommet, misprinted colors, or unraveled stitching out of the box), we will replace it free of charge within 30 days. Please note that normal outdoor wear and tear—such as edge fraying from high winds or color fading over several months of UV exposure—is the expected lifecycle of an outdoor flag and is not covered as a manufacturing defect.
